AI Use in African Health Professions Education: Survey Findings on Adoption and Institutional Support

Join this webinar sharing findings from AFREhealth’s survey on AI adoption in health professions education, the extent of institutional support and the implications for educators and academic leaders.

Background
How widely is AI being used in African health professions education, and how well are institutions supporting its use? The reported survey findings indicate that 83% of respondents use AI, alongside limited institutional support and substantial informal or individual adoption.

This opening webinar will introduce the survey’s methods and respondent profile before presenting findings on AI use and institutional support. Speakers will examine what these results reveal about the relationship between individual adoption and organised institutional integration.

The discussion will consider the implications for educational leadership and identify questions explored in the subsequent webinars on
readiness, governance and faculty priorities.
