Introduction: Mentorship is not only gaining momentum in health professions education, but also in service delivery. To sustain systems, reforms and innovations in health professions education and health service delivery beyond the current generation, mentorship is necessary to maintain the supply pipeline of professionals with key competencies to sustain these initiatives. Despite its importance, effective mentorship remains a challenge in many institutions.
