AFREhealth Emergency Ebola Webinar Series presents: The Bundibugyo Ebola Virus Disease Outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda

Background: The ongoing outbreak of Bundibugyo virus disease in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda has highlighted persistent challenges in epidemic preparedness and response. Unlike Ebola virus disease caused by Zaire ebolavirus, no licensed vaccine or pathogen-specific therapeutic currently exists for Bundibugyo virus disease. This AFREhealth Ebola webinar will provide the latest updates on the outbreak, response efforts, research priorities, and lessons for strengthening outbreak preparedness and health security in Africa and beyond.
