Thandie Sharon Mwalukomo

Dr. Thandie Sharon Mwalukomo is an Associate Professor of Medicine and acting head of Medicine Department at the School of Medicine and Oral Health, Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Malawi. She is an internal Medicine Physician. She obtained a Medical Bachelor, Bachelor of Surgery, (MBBS) and Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine (MMed in Internal Medicine) from the University of Malawi. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London) and East, Central South African College of Physicians (ECSA) and also has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Her areas of research interest are medical education, infectious diseases and HIV and non-communicable diseases. She has published in peer-reviewed journals. She previously served as a board member of the Medical Council of Malawi and chair of Education and Training Committee of the council. She was the Principal investigator in the Malawi STRIPE-HIV project
