Paulin Mutwale Kapepula

Paulin Mutwale Kapepula is a Pharmacist and Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Kinshasa. He is currently the Vice – Dean of Research. He completed his PhD in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Liège (Belgium) and University of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo) in 2017. He is a Professor of Natural Products Chemistry, Medicine and Traditional pharmacopoeia and endogenous knowledge, Pharmacognosy and Plant Physiology. He performs his research activities mainly in the field of bioactivities of Traditional Foods (herbal teas, vegetables, mushrooms, edible insects) and Medicinal Plants as well as quality control of herbal medicines, improved traditional medicines and dietary supplements. He is working on the research project on the intervention of a tropical neglected disease named Konzo, Antimicrobial biogenic nanocomposite formulations from banana and plantain plants (Musa spp.). Professor Mutwale has professional memberships with the Congolese One Health Platform
